Worth the walk!
Oct 2019
This is a delightful beach - during the week the bus doesn't take you all the way there but the walk is around 15 minutes and worth it! There is a small bar as well.

Calamosca beach
Aug 2019 • Solo
It's close to the city. The is a snack shop. It was OK. The fish bite and the water looks dirty. The beach feels a bit dirty too. If you take a walk along the road you will find a few more places. One private beach club andd further another secluded beach. I would go there in future.

Calamosca Beach
Aug 2019
Calamosca Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the city of Calgary if not in Sardinia. Away from settlements with crystal clear water, it offers complete enjoyment of nature, sun, and seawater.

Not so good beach
Aug 2019 • Family
The only interesting thing is that is “in town”. Otherwise too small, not clean, not so transparent water (not polluted, but not fantastic nice), too rocky, uninteresting bar...

Nothing special but yet
Apr 2019 • Family
Nothing special but yet beautiful. This was one of the first beaches we cruised in Sardinia. Everything was closed in the end of april and noone was there. There were a lot of abandoned cats though, sad thing for an animal lover.

Unexpected quiet rest
Oct 2018
When going to Cagliari in last October, we wanted to catch last sunshine and maybe take a dip as we are northerners and +22 is quite enough to do it. The first day we went to Calamosca, took a bit of a time to get there as we went by bus and then you need to walk quite a bit to get there. Weather was blissful, so 15min walk was okay. The beach was exactly what we needed - quiet, with some people and dogs, it's not a ''beach'' as there were no shops, no restaurants, just a place to take a dip. For those interested in being able to buy yourself some food or have really clean (from seaweed and leaves) coast, should go to Poetto (did not enjoy personally that much) as it's a proper beach. Recommending to those who hate large crowds and annoying sellers.

Our type of beach!
Sep 2018 • Couples
For us this is the type of beach we enjoy resting and switching off on for a few hours.

Poetto is too commercial for us but others will enjoy it.

The previous reviews of Calamosca say it all but if you get the chance (we cycled up) to a little further up the hill, passed the hotel, to a small restaurant/terrace named ‘La Paillote’. Worth it for the views alone!

Hidden small beach
Sep 2018 • Solo
This is a small beach to which you can get on within 20-30 minutes from Cagliari downtown by bus Zeus_5/11 (or if not taking No 11 from San Bartolomeo (Parcheggi) then 15 minutes walk. Parking for free.

Before you get down the beach I recommend to you take an effort and go for easy trekking to Sella del Diavolo and have a gorgeous view of Calamosca and Poeto area.
This hidden beach is mainly visited by locals.

The beach is mix of sand and stone. The best how to get to the sea is to enter on the right side where is sandy access and also it is free of seaweed which is on the left. The water clear, with some fishes to be seen. I saw a lot of locals to fish successfully for octopus.

There is a lifeguard on duty, one bistro, just mobile toilets, no showers and no deck chairs to be rent but on the other hand during the day some shade can be found during the day. Basic beach fut with some charm. And most importantly very safe.

Personally preferred this to Poetto
Sep 2018 • Couples
After tiring of the expense and lucky luckies hovering round us at Poetto we thought we’d try this little beach, it’s just a cove really, the number 11 bus takes you right there. At the beginning of September it was pretty quiet, I can imagine it would be hard to find a space in July/ August, so it was spot on for us. The sea was calm and clear, the trick is to enter/exit the sea just to the right of the life guards boat in order to avoid stones underfoot. There is a little refreshments hut selling cold drinks, beer, ice cream and snacks. It was a little piece of heaven for us, wish we’d found it sooner.

Lovely small beach! A bit hidden and not so easy to get there if you don’t know where to go but totally worth visiting.
