Aci Castello is a very charming coastal town just north of Catania. A little quieter then Aci Trezza, with some nice restaurants and bars and a sweet piazza in front of the castle. The castle itself is quite small but nevertheless nice to visit at...More

we passed through the village on the coast and stopped at the Castle. Very dark and mysterious and very indicative of the history of this area.

Only a 10 minutes drive from our hotel so thought it worth a look. We visited when it was very windy so slightly off putting when you’re at height but enjoyed it all the same. Free to go up for a nice view along the...More

Stumbled on it after accidentally taking a wrong turn. Its a small norman castle on a lava promontory. Very nice to explore but a little plain to look at.

Lovely sea resort with an ancient castle, in summer it's just fabulous!!! The sea is emerald and enchanting, for those who prefer deep water.

Rather than trying to find parking, decided to visit this as part of the hop on/off bus and spent an hour wandering around. Lovely little village, great views, fantastic back drop for photos and the castle is impressive made of black lava stones
