One almost misses it as you walk down the street. Annoying street sellers of rubbish. The street via etnea is worth a walk from the fish market up to some good cafes.

Whether you come from the Arch or from the Piazza Universita your mind will be blown away! I am feeling so lucky because every morning I am passing through this memorable place. Just come and see this church and you will understand me :)

This Piazza has a lovely family feeling, a place to relax after a day sight seeing. In on corner is an amazing fountain, and nearby a small bar that sells delicious a ranching contains either ragusa or spinach with cheese and another that I can'tell remember the filling. The owner is always friendly

The piazza is nice with the standard fare of cafes and terraces. The fountains are excellent and the Duomo is beautiful as a backdrop. It is easy to find and serve as a launching pad or meeting place for whatever touristic things you have planned.

Classic large town square surrounded by beautiful buildings. Excellent meeting spot and relaxing place to pass the time near the elephant fountain.

.......but as far as we could see, closed to access. Oh well. The Piazza is gorgeous, well worth some pictures, We were lucky enough to be there at midday, when the bells did their full thing on the stroke of 1200. The deep, oh-so-sonorous-and-slightly-mournful sound of the big bells striking 12 is a great memory. Got some of it on... More

The piazza has the Duomo (Cathedral) which is great and in alive in full use. There is the monument of the iconic Sicily elephant in the centre of the Piazza and also the fountain in the corner of the square. If you go there it's worth walking up via Etna for the shops and cafes. Great for all the family.
