When in Florence or Rome you are truly wowed but the fountains. This one looks like a poor copy. The updated parts look like they are made out of plastic and have little artistic merit. Go to it if you are walking past, don't make it a day out!

Has to be seen to be believed incredible collection of statues. Evidently the whole structure was transported from elsewhere with bits "lost" along the way. One fellow tourist said to me: "go see it it's mad totally crazy" - but beautiful too.

This fountain was brought to Sicily from Florence. It's really beautiful. Parts of the fountain were removed at night by nuns.

On our first evening in Palermo we went out for a wander without any itinerary. We rounded a corner and suddenly there was this amazing fountain! The size and grandeur of it makes this a worthwhile place to visit. It is surrounded by railings and gate is locked at night and the fountain is not on. We passed it several... More

A great square with an interesting history of having been donated to Palermo after the sculptures were considered too risky. Also a good base from which to go in to the Mayor's office on the square and look out at the view of the neighbouring churces.

This once great fountain is constrained in a tight space. It has an ugly black metal fence all the way around it. It looks run down and is dry many days. Worth seeing if you are in the area. Lots of interesting history. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.

Enjoyed the architecture of the church more than the fountain. Located right near one of the main outdoor markets for the city which is really interesting to walk through and worth the time.

As so many beauties in Italy, as you are walking casually , you just " stumble " on this gorgeous fountain . They call it vergogna, the shame in italian , because the statues are all nudes .
