Work by Botticelli and Ghirlandaio including the latter's stunning Last Supper in the Refectory (odd hours). Mostly unknown is the location of Botticelli's burial place at the foot of the tomb for his unrequited love, Simonetta Vespucci. The lunette above the painting on the right...More

Another beautiful church. This one contains an outstandingly beautiful crucifix by Giotto, that should not be missed. Also here, by Ghirlandaio: a Madonna Della Misericordia fresco that shows members of the Vespucci family (including Amerigo), and The Last Supper. Botticelli is buried here.

This beautiful church is located very near the Ponte alla Carraia and is well worth a visit. The artworks on the walls are simply sublime and are some of the best I've seen whilst in Florence. Not the showy artwork you will see in some...More

A lovely church in Florence with a very beautiful facade. Florence has hundreds of such churches and it is well worth having a walk around trying to find them

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the
majority of the people arriving in Florence, which
might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists
come across the constant hustle and bustle of the
station before exiting, taking a few steps and
stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It
is impossible not to admire the the square, housing
one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The

Buongiorno.
