Love Duets’ Concert: you do not have to be a lover of Italian Opera to enjoy this wonderful evening. It’s set in a small church from 1800’s. You have a piano, soprano & tenor performing Opera’s love song and Italian love songs. The setting and performance is overwhelmingly powerful. You’ll be moved to tears by the emotions. Not to be missed.

An Evening to Remember

I'm not sure that I can do justice to such an enjoyable evening in just a few words. Beautiful voices, sublime piano and first class entertainment. My wife and I will be back!

Professional singers in a small space (the church itself is a very atmospheric high church building). The performance is explained for opera newbies and there is an internal where drinks are available (prosecco €2!). We saw La Boheme which was great. This really felt like an unique experience and good value and it's a lovely thing to do.

You felt like you were getting a private concert with the pianist & two opera voices performing 10 meters from you. If there were 50 people in the audience I'm probably exaggerating . This made the whole event much more special. The music was excellent & the performances highly professional. They were supporting a charity but did not force any... More

A highlight of our trip to Florence was an evening of opera at the St. Mark's English Church. The program of love arias from several operas, performed by a charming young soprano and an dashing tenor, was terrific. Piano solos by Franz Moser added a special touch. The tone of the evening was perfect--a touch of humor, a bit of... More

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT - FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE we wanted a taste of opera without seeing a whole performance and this was perfect! Got to here some pieces we recognized and some new ones too - really moving experience and definitely a highlight of the trip! Introductions to each piece in English from our charming host was particularly good as it gave... More

We fully recommend the opera at T. Mark's Anglican Church at Florence. La Traviata, Verdi's two hours performance was amazing! We were lucky because we had good seats.

Honestly, we didn't feel much about seeing an opera - just a sort of exposure thing, and worried we might fall asleep ☺but turn out - wow - we heard so beautiful singing even though we couldn't understand a word! Heartfelt thanks for giving us an opportunity to enjoy the beauty in opera!

I am so glad I came upon the church's website while surfing for a church to visit for my family's trip to Florence. Their Opera programme was just perfect for introducing my teenagers to opera and it was a refreshing change from all that shopping and sightseeing. It was not too heavy going as in a full opera so my... More

I recently attended the evening of "Love Duets" on Thursday, December 8th. I come to Firenze annually during early December and always make it a special evening by attending the performances at St Mark's. The soprano and baritone vocalists were outstanding, and this year was the first time that I got the pleasure of hearing Franz perform at the piano.... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
