We had a wonderful day in Florence and Pisa with Tuscany Shore Trips. The trip was stress free, our Guide/driver Franco, met us at the dock with a very comfortable mini van and he did a great job outlining all the points of interest on our trip. Our Guide in Florence was wonderful, her knowledge of all the museums and... More

Thank you very much, I appreciate your positive comments. We try harder to let our guests be one of us, a tuscan, during the visit in our wanderful place. This coming winter we will explore new hidden places-wineries-cheese factories and truffle hounters to show you ever the best, follow us. Ciao and thanks again. franco&vittorio More

We picked Tuscany Shore Trips because we were a group of 6 Adults and didn't want to go on the Large Bus Tours the Ship has. Franco our Guide was very knowelable about the area. He was easy to understand and even (at our request) took us to an out of the way place for lunch (very good food) and... More

Tomas was a fantastic tour guide and drive, had lots of knowledge of the city, he was very polite and patient. We were a party of 13 people, the car and driver were perfect in every way. I highly recommend them.....and would love to use them in the future...even the booking was professional and easy.

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
