We had a fabulous and very enjoyable walk around Florence today on our Renaissance tour. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. A really good way to get a sense of the city and point you in the direction of the attractions that you want to explore more.

Compared to many similar arrangements in many other locations around Europe this was the poorest tour I have ever experienced offering very limited insight into the rich History of Florence. Perhaps the guide has by now done so many tours that by now he is bored...

I took the Medici tour this sfternoon and due to the wonderful efforts of Nicolletta we loved it. She was enthusiastic with knowledge and she also had a mini-speaker around her neck which, while not loud, made a big difference to everyone's ability to hear (there were about 25 on the tour). These types of tours can work really well... More

Florence is beautiful the sights and the architecture are second to none. We had a half day visit to walk around on our own, street maps are readily available and there is a lot to see in a small area. The gold bridge over the river has lots of good jewellers to browse at, there are places you recognise from... More

Really enjoyed both tours. We did the afternoon one first on Saturday- our guide Donatto was very informed and gave us a great overview of the history of the medici family through the buildings and statues around the city. We did the Renaissance tour on Monday with Daniele- again a very informed guide with lots of interesting facts and stories... More

This is the Centre where everyone comes to see the Dome. Beautiful marble buildings surround you. Don't just look at the dome, look closely at the details that surround statues and door ways.

I did both the morning tour and the afternoon Medici tour. The 5 star rating only applies to the fantastic morning tour led by Danielo who had interesting stories and facts about a wide range of sites in Florence. Of all the free walks I have done, this was the most informative and engaging, and with the microphone and speaker... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
