It's a must see. Be sure to climb the dome if at all possible. The cafes that ring it were great for a late lunch after the climb. Views are breath taking

The buildings here are stunning and quite breath taking. Unfortunately to get inside Duomo you will need to join a very long queue so soak up the atmosphere of the piazza instead.

Can sometimes be very crowded with tourists. Because of the age and historical restrictions the piazza is small and sometimes is not easy to get full photos of the Duomo.

This is a great piazza whose central point , the Duomo, should not be missed. There is shopping and a good selection of places to eat in the piazza.

We did not go into the Duomo because the crowds were so big. The builds were spectacular to look at from the outside. We were pleased to see so much security (police presence) at these sites, because there were so many people. It just gave...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by

The historic center is characterized by the immensity

brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

You can visit it any time of the day. The restaurants in the piazza are open till late and you can always walk down the nearby roads and find lots of stalls for road side shopping.
