This road near the station and the Chiesa Novella contains good hotels and pavement restaurants with excellent local dishes and vegetables.

Cool area with lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and markets. My wife and I were staying a few blocks away but came here a few times for the food.

Great place to stay while in Florence
Sep 2017 • Couples
Lively street and a great location to stay while visiting Florence. Quick walk from the train station, Mercato Centrale and the Duomo. Lined with shops, restaurants, bars, pasticerria. Stayed at an Airbnb on the fifth floor of a building and it was extremely quiet, but once down at street level bustling even in the evening. Felt very safe!

Lovely street
May 2017 • Couples
Via Faenza is not a big street, but it's quite nice, with a good number of cafes, restaurants and other assorted shops. And, reasonably closeby, are some very good sites to visit, like the Central Markets, as well as The Uffizi and Accademia Galleries and plenty others.

A street full of surprises
Oct 2015
We booked a room in a hotel at this street and first we found that it was close to the Railway Station but day by day we discovered how central this street was. Restaurants, cafes, hotels, central market, large and small groceries, flea market but the most interesting was Alice’s Mask Studio-Via Faenza 72R.
Don't miss it. A treasure of masks and puppets. Mr Agostino is an illusionist. You don't want to leave this little store and workshop full of small and big miracles. It is like travelling to another epoch. Note the address couse probably you ll miss it passing in front of it if you have your mind to something big. The greatness is inside. No credit cards accepted.
