After a long walk to the double decker bus, we made a short stop in Montiggeromo. We then proceeded to Siena and were met by another tour giude for the cathedral tour in Siena. After the cathedral tour, we regrouped and proceeded to a group lunch they offered, which cost 13 euros extra. I wouldn't recommended the lunch, you get... More

Tour was scheduled to start at 8am. We did not leave the meeting point until 8:30am. You would think the bus would be near the meeting point, but you would be wrong. We walked approximately 3/4 of a mile to the bus. Once on the bus, the driver was driving like a madman, I assume to try to make up... More

I took 3 trips from Ciao Florence. The Tuscany trip was the best that included Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa. Our guide Catherine was great, accomodating and knowledgeable. Time allicated to every spot was quite appropriate. Lunch was also given and it was really really well managed and food was delicious.

This is a wonderful full day tour. Two wineries, delicious lunch. Our guide, Livie is about the best guide I have ever had. She is so knowledgeable and helpful. A great tour guide. Highly recommend this tour. One of the best!

We took the tour that visited San Guigmani, Siena, Monteciano. It's a double decker bus tour - multiple languages covered in same bus. So a lot of time with the guides describing plans in 4 languages. The guides were so nice. But, I felt like I was running (uphill) at each stop just to keep up. They also didn't use... More

This particular tour was to Siena, followed by a trip though Chiati region to the Panzanello Winery for a four course dinner. Our guide was Martina accompanied by driver Paulo. Both were very nice and accommodating. Martina called in our dietary requirements just after boarding the bus and they were nicely accommodated upon arrival. As we left Florence, Martina provided... Booked this trip last minute and my credit card had a problem. Instead of dismissing me, they wrote and email to let me know about it and give me alternative payment options. The guides on how to find the meeting point is clear, the trip itself was awesome! No false advertisement like other tours. The guide was entertaining and kind.... More

We visited Florence for 2 days and booked the Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa tour. I had been hesitant to book it because I thought it would be too long especially for the kids.. sooo glad I booked it! What a great tour full of the most breathtaking views! The day was perfectly planned stopping at each location with enough time... More

I ended up purchasing three day trips from Ciao Florence tours and was incredibly impressed with how well organized they were on every level. From free morning pick ups (my hotel was on the other end of town), to efficient check ins, to the actual tour, everything was run beautifully. The three tours I booked were: - Pisa and Lucca... Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
