One of the more quiet piazzas in eastern Florence. There isn't much to do here, but it works well as a meeting spot if you are staying in the area.

This quadrangular square is the most largest place in Florence and is arounded from historical palaces; Also there are a church with the same name; In the middle-age it was a place for public meetings ; in the Renaissance there were contests, and now sometimes a place for historic football of Florence

This is one of the lesser visited Piazzas but worth seeing as really nice shops and restaurants around it and the cathedral is beautiful.

Piazza Santa Croce is one of the main squares in central Florence. There you'll see the statue of Dante Alighieri and the gorgeous Basilica of Santa Croce, where some of the most famous italians are buried, such as Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli

After the narrow streets around the Duomo this square seems vast. Surrounded on all but one side by beautiful old building and with the Basilica of Santa Croce at its far end it is a truly spectacular space. And if you happen to come upon a football `stadium` in its place in the summer don`t be surprised or alarmed -... More

We visited Florence in October for sightseeing and to attend a friend's wedding. We stayed in an AirBnB just off this square so took our morning coffee in one of the many outlets surrounding the Piazza. Likewise for our returning sundowner drinks. A lovely tranquil atmosphere and the buildings just go back in time. Santa Croce Church is the centrepiece... More

This is a great piazza, especially since the junk hawkers have been cleared out to allow visitors space and hassle-free enjoyment. The is also a great place to eat, with protected dining outside or some table room inside. Enjoy and relax.

With the Santa Croce church as its anchor, lovely piazza to stroll and spend some time in the leather and jewelry shops.

Very lovely church and beautiful architecture all around the piazza. The atmosphere was upbeat and it was just a place that seemed to make everyone feel good. In addition to the history, there are good sidewalk cafes and lots and lots of stalls selling scarves and leather. It was a nice place to have lunch, sightsee and do a bit... More

Great view of the church wonderful architecture around the piazza. We had a great lunch at one of the restaurants wobbly table and all. You can find artist here and stands selling all the souvenirs you don't need but will probably buy.
