Good square, bit out of the centre so thankfully a bit quieter. Usual restaurants/shops. Nice place to sit and people watch!

This is a really lovely public square, opposite the Cathedral of Santa Croce. It is a rather quiet area, depending on the time of day, or year it is visited. There are a few shops, mainly tourist stands, but we went there during our walk...More

Worth a stroll by the many leather shops, small restaurants and bars...all day and into the evening. Great photo shoots of the cathedral and the people...

This rectangular square is actually one of the biggest in the old Firenze. Others are usually much smaller. Buildings around are lower and more standard/popular than palaces you usually have if you go further to the city center.

Visited as part of a cruise. The Piazza was our central meeting place. There are plenty of small restaurants that offer good value for money eating options. There are also many small gift shops to pick up little bits and pieces.

This is a common grown for a picture, usually there is a show some days, nothing out of the extraordinary, but a classic !

Stop and stare at the beauty and symmetry of the
Basilica of Santa Croce any time day or night.
Unraveling around it are a number of architectural and
artistic masterpieces, from the Synagogue to the
Central National Library. As a hub for young people,
the area gets busy with people who want to have fun: a
continuous flow of tourists and locals become animated
by songs and dances.

Yes. There's a Taxi stand just in front of the square. But it's only a five to seven minute walk.
