As an earlier reviewer said, this library takes effort to get into - in fact, it may be impossible if you don't speak Italian. Which we don't. Library is located at the second floor of Ginori, 10. Security guards in the lobby do not speak English and do not like tourists. Lunch break start at 1 pm, so our arrival at 12:30 made them even less happy. When we arrived, they send us next door, from next door we were sent next door, etc until we arrived... More

According to our Florence Guidebook by DK the Bibleoteca is inside the Palazzo Medici Riccardi and was founded in 16th century and houses a collection of precious manuscripts including Dante's Divine Comedy.
