One of my favorite museums. I always visit whenever I'm in Fiesole. In June I had the opportunity to visit several times, taking the time to study the Tuscan art. I'm a professional artist, fascinated with icons and art history. Don't miss the gorgeous full figure painting of young pregnant Madonna. Take the time to be quiet and let these... More

I had no idea what treasures this little museum held before I went in. Had never heard of it... it was just part of my ticket from the Area Archaelogical that I had visited. It was absolutely gorgeous. The paintings mainly 12-13th Century were beautiful. I took close up photos of nearly every Madonna and child (as I love the... More

On a Tuscany walking holiday with Ramblers Holidays UK; we took the local bus No 7 from Piazza San Marco up to the sweet little village of Fiesole in the Mugello foothills, 25mins ride from Florence. Our combined ticket in Fiesole was for the wonderful Archeological area and, across the street from the entrance, this delightful little museum. After viewing... More

This houses the collection of Angelo Bandini from the church of Sain'Ansano. He died in 1803 and left his collection to the bishop of Fiesole. There are wonderful gold leaf religious paintings in great shape.along with the paintings are several Della Robbias. It is worth the visit and may be paired with the ruins museum next door, but not worth... More

It's quite small, but it's also quite Good. A really nice selection of religious Icons, Della Robia ceramics & other antiquities. Adjacent small garden is a refreshing green spot. Quality items seen. Get a Combination Ticket when visiting the Roman theater & ruins...

If you go from Florence to Fiesole and return on Bus # 7, be very careful to buy and Validate your ticket. WE took the bus back which was almost solely occupied by tourists and neglected to validate our tickets...something we hd done a few times before with no problem. But this time, the bus police saw a great opportunity... More

This is an interesting, but quite small, museum. It features many works by Della Robia, and paintings and sculptures by other Italian artists. Nicely presented on several floors. If you buy entrance with the combination ticket for the Roman theatre and gardens, it is less expensive.

Excellent small museum just off the main piazza and across from the entrance to the archaeological ruins. Just a few rooms of 12th century religious icons and a good collection of the ceramics of the Della Robbia family. Well presented and worth the few Euros if you love this stuff. You can purchase tickets from the tourist office just across... More
