We visited Pisa for a few hours, thinking it would be enough time to see the Leaning Tower. The walled Piazza dei Miracoli is not only home to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but also the Camposanto (Cemetery), the Duomo (medieval cathedral) and the Baptistery...More

The beautiful buildings in the Piazza are well worth an extended visit. The Piazza itself is stunning, with all the buildings shown off so beautifully by being set in the open grassland of the square. You can really appreciate them so much more than if...More

The square is so beautiful. So majestic. Wow. There are so many photographic opportunities. There are refreshments and a small market just outside of the square and also some geocaches in the city walls.

If you can avoid the crowds of people trying to get the perfect 'holding up the tower' photo well done. Not a lot around the square other than the obvious. Lots of street stalls at the entrance.

This historic site in Pisa is fantastic with so many buildings within very easy walking distance. The Tower is by far the main attraction with queues prevailing throughout the day but the other buildings are in many ways more interesting as there is much to...More

Very green and serene and full of history. This place seemed to be a little quite than the main plaza of the tower.

Not sure about tickets but I can talk about driving in Pisa. And my advice is: don't. Leave your car at your hotel and take a taxi. It isn't a big place but it has narrow mediaeval streets, little in the way of parking... More
