The beautiful old Tuscan village that sat high on top a hill in Italy was truly a sight to see! We didn't get a lot of time here but the time we did have was so beautiful!

If you visit San Gimignano then make the effort to go up the Torre Grosse. Best one to go is around 6pm. Hardly anyone there at that time and beautiful soft light over the roof tops. Stunning views

€9 Adults, kids free. Climb the easy going 218 steps to the top. There is a short ladder at the very top but not difficult. The views are just amazing. Well worth it.

Worth the few shots to get to the top for wonderful views The staircase is not severe, the last few steps are awkward/ steep and for the tall you will need to mind your head !

The bell tower and the town are very interesting and worth the drive. Be prepared for a steep uphill walk to the center of town. Also be prepared for a long and steep walk from the parking area to the town. Not wheelchair friendly.
