We spent 3 days with Bruno Squartini during our recent holiday in Tuscany. He was always punctual at our scheduled meeting spots and customized our tour as he guided us through some of the lovely hill towns of Tuscany. His knowledge of the local architecture was extensive and he took us to all the best sightseeing spots and photo stops.... More

I had spent the afternoon in San Gimignano on a holiday-Nov 1st-so it was quite crowded for this time of year. As usual I stopped at the Info point for a map and suggestions, and happened to see a poster for some guided hikes/walks. As it was a solo guided trip, we met at Porta San Giovanni to outline the... The two of us walked 10km around the vineyards and olive groves surrounding San Gimignano with Bruno. He was a fascinating and knowledgeable guide who told us about the history of the area, the Chianti vineyards, the special white wine grapes grown only there (Verdeccio) and the cultivation of olives and saffron crocuses. He was a charming and proud native... More
