As you walk up from Piazza del Duomo on the right towards the Rocca fortress, by the foot of the Cathedral bell tower, you will find a craftsman’s workshop where art, earth, music and passion blend together in magical harmony. Here, Franco and Esther welcome you into the world of ceramic art. They opened the shop in 1990 to showcase this fascinating ancient craft; you can watch Franco working at the potter’s wheel or Esther making charming clay animals.Open from March to November 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

I watched Franco at the wheel and was fascinated by his craft. Purchased his cypress trees trio and they grace our mantel at home. Love his earth tones and graceful lines.

We toured the ceramic shop and very much appreciated the numerous creative designs and the artisan workmanship displayed in these works. The colors were very Italian as they were bright and conveyed an enjoyment by the creators.

Gorgeous ceramics, pure craftsmanship. Lovely little shop. Usually you can see one of the artist (husband or wife) at work. Either at the potters wheel or handbuilding. Being an amateur ceramist myself I got very inspired by this place.

We found this shop just strolling around and had not read anything about it prior. We thought the ceramics were beautiful - not the typical tourist items but unique pieces and very well done. We found Esther to be quite helpful while we browsed her...More

This cute little shop has both lovely functional pottery and cute little pottery creatures that call to you from their shelf just outside the shop door. The shop is worth a stop to appreciate the work.

We found the ceramics in this shop beautiful. Such lovely bowls. We wanted to buy one but no one wanted to help us. We ended up going further down the road to another so.

An interesting little local shop to visit. A working potters shop with hand made items to buy. The non drip oil decanters are original to Balducci Ceramics. Worth a look and to purchase a unique item.

Purchased a set of Olive Oil (dripless) and Balsamic containers, and a pair of ornamental flower vases (inspired by the towers), thrown on a potter's wheel by Franco (see him, some days, working with the wheel in his shop). Beautiful glazes. Also bought a small...More
