This was our first guided walking holiday and took some coaxing to get my husband to go :) He loved it so much we booked again a year later and brought our sons. I can honestly say we learnt even more, saw different places and yet enjoyed visiting some same farms and wineries all over again ! These walking holidays... More

My husband and I spent 7 days in September walking the Tuscan Hills with Gianni and Rudy. Truly one of our best and most memorable travel experiences. If you want to see a beautiful country from off the beaten path with a guide that shares his vast knowledge of the food, wine, history, and geology of the Tuscan Hills -... More

My mom and I hired Gianni for a private tour in October 2016. Based on reviews we were pretty sure it would be good and our expectations were exceeded! Gianni is a local resident with extensive knowledge of the area, and its history and people. We saw so many out of the way things that we would not have visited... More

Our hotel Santa Maria Novella provided us with a breakfast in a bag for our early start. On this day we visited Pisa, SAN Gimignano and Siena. It was a perfect day. Pisa was stunning with the Leaning Tower, Cathedral and Baptistery. Tour guide was friendly, fun and well informed. Off to a winery for a lunch and wine overlooking... More

We really enjoyed a trip with Gianni in September this year. We went on the tour with very high hopes & they were exceeded by far! The itinerary was extremely varied & we found great pleasure in being introduced to wine makers, cheese makers, pasta makers & wonderful people. Gianni is a wealth of information, his prepared & impromptu talks... More

My father and I spent a week with Gianni a few years ago and it was a great experience. He even taught me some Italian. Make sure to ask him about the Sienese dialect! Spending time with him again felt like being with an old friend. Nothing had changed. We spent a great day with him walking across the Tuscan... More

Just concluded 8 hour tour with alessandro as guide and emilio driving. Cant say enough good things, knowledgeable, entertaining, took time to answer all questions. Toured Sienna, St gimignano, and Pisa. Lunch at a farm with high quality food and wine. English was very good even though he was Florentine. Did a lot if walking so would not recommend to... More

Our Tuscany day tour and hike was a fantastic way to get to know the Italian countryside. I always appreciate things that seem to be effortless - and this walk about was as if we met a friend and happened upon wonderful sights and times together. ( visited a small town, hiked a pilgrims path and enjoyed a terrace lunch... More

I have just returned from 8 fabulous days with Walk About Tuscany hosted by Gianni and Rudy and helped by their hard working transportation crew who ensured we were picked up on time, we travelled safely and no luggage was lost. Congrats to them. I was in a group of 16, coming from many parts of the world and put... More

Two couples went on the Walk About Tuscany tour yesterday. We had a superb experience...from the comfortable motor coach and expert driver (Fabio) to the excellent guide (Olivia) and fabulous lunch at the "Farm" (vineyard). Olivia obviously takes great pride in the quality of information she provides to her customers while managing our time wisely. A great tour! 5 stars!!!
