This is a beautiful but simple sanctuary reflective of St. Clare and her life. Having forsaken the well-to-do heritage of her parents, she gave her life to Christ having been influenced by St. Francis. It's a beautiful medieval structure with a museum of some of...More

Overall this basilica has a wonderfull architecture and facade with white lines and red ones and gleams in the sunshine; a sobriety of construction, and aso inside; there is a nice crypte to visit.

Large and still with finesse. Even with Holy Communion one feels close to the altar. It impresses me even more when the are nuns, clarisse or groups of women come to pray there.
