Took a five minute cable ride (standing) the 1000 metres or so it takes to reach the Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo a Roman Catholic church atop Mount Ingino, outside central Gubbio. The church houses the body of the patron saint of Gubbio, Saint Ubaldo (the 12th-century Bishop Ubaldo Baldassini), kept...More

I was slightly sceptical, even though I'm not afraid of heights, but needn't have worried. You feel totally secure in the baskets and as you ascend it's totally quiet. The views are stunning and you can see for miles on a clear day - the...More

This was our highlight in Gubbio and is a must do if you are in the area. The church and the cafe at the top are also worth the trip. Fantastic views and a bit of a thrill

It was way too hot to consider walking up Monte Ingino so the funivia was perfect. Each 'cage' can take two people but it's best to fly solo if you want to take pictures on the way.

Great attraction for kids. Amazing view at the top. the car is taking each time only 2 people. Also at the top you can continue the climb but its quite hard.

The ONLY thing you should do in Gubbio. (Apart from the fantastic museum, churches, art, etc), it was a blast!

The funivia colle eletto in Gubbio is well worth a visit. The visitor pays for their ticket (either one way or return) and then boards the carriage. The carriages can easily carry individuals or couples. The carriages don't stop but the guys working there assist...More
