Umbria is famous for its ceramics. There are special patterns and colours on ceramics which are particular to Umbria and some of these can be found in Gubbio a medieval city of beauty. There are many outlets where these ceramics can be purchased in Gubbio. Another outlet where beautiful handcrafted ceramics can be seen is in a place not too far from Gubbio, it is a place called Umbertide. There is a factory not far from the main railway station previously known as Rometti. Coming into Umbertide passing by the station which is on the right hand side one continues for about half a mile and the factory can be found on the left hand side. There is parking available on site. Here one will find beautiful pieces in ceramics but the prices too are high.
