One of Basels great fountains

If you are in Basel - mind watching all the different kind of fountains you find. This example is a beautiful fountain on an inconspicuous square.

I'll not say you must be there while you visit Basel. We pass by it while walking around the city, took a picture, because it is cute, but that's it, nothing more.

If you wander around the old town in Basel, you will come across many interesting buildings and fountains. This one is no exception, and in that sense hardly deserves special mention. It is beautiful indeed, but so are many other things in Basel. So, do have a closer look if you are nearby, for instance after crossing the Mittlere Brücke... More

Great fountain slap bang in the middle of town. Love the flowers and don't be put off by the name because it has been a long time since it smelt fishy round here. Great building that houses a gents clothes shop below it adjacent to te fountain too, particularly the roof.

This beautiful fountain located in the old town and steps away from Father Rhein is as stunning of water fountain as you will find around. No longer the fish market, this intersection is now home to mainly a bus and tram stop. This fountain is full of blooming flowers and a tall column with sculptures.

Fischmarktbrunnen stands in a part of the old town in Basel and this old town is worth a visit, Take your time stroll along the narrow lanes and find tiny shops and cosy little Bars or Restaurants
