A must-see in Bern, don't miss it. Spend some time on reading the detailed information on the signs.

It is always a joy to see the family just across the bridge from the historic centre of Bern. They look so docile you would think you could pop down and give them a hug. Perhaps not. They are in good condition and there is...More

I was pleased to see the bears had plenty of room to live their lives but I was horrified at the old space where they had lived. Any animal lover would be horrified that the government have not filled in the old small bear pit....More

Most fun is if you can find the 3 bears and follow their actions for a while. They're not in the pits anymore, but there's an informative display in one of the original pits. Walk there from the downtown, or take the tram.

All the tourists seem to go over the bridge to this part of the town; there is a bus stop also. Bern means bear, apparently, and the crest of the canton has the bear figure on it. There is a bear fountain right near the...More

The bear park is at the end of the main street just over the bridge that runs through the old town. The bears seem to have a good environment to live and looked happy. It was a hot day and we saw a bear (Bjork?)...More

They really give the bears a ton of beautiful space to roam around. They can even go in the water if they want. The three or them were hanging out very close to where we were standing at the railing which was great. They also...More
