You got trains, buses, and boats, or you could just stroll some place. There are also several stores below the train station including a grocery store.

I used Swiss travel pass to get around the country during my trip in Switzerland in April 2017. 376 Swiss francs for 8 consecutive days allow you to board most trains, cruising lakes, and in Lucerne you can also board the funiculars and cable car towards Mt. Lucerne was amazing place, the Train statiom is huge and easy to looking up for your next train destination. Many of historic building places surrounding. The town full of shops and places to eat. Love to eat the Swiss chocolate a lots in there, so tasty and less sugar. Dark chocolate is my favourite one.

We used this station extensively to travel to various places. The trains and platforms are easily identifiable and the service personnel are always ready to help. Most of them speak English fluently.

We arrived by train and the journey took us through some beautiful countryside. The train was clean and seats were comfortable. It's a shame our railways are not up to Swiss standards!

One of the easiest access to any inter/ Intra city Railway station. Very well managed and operated. Had a rather strange experience though. Had to travel from Lucerne to Basel to catch onward train to Paris. While the enquiry ticket was perfect, the desk officer erred in issuing a ticket from Basel to Lucerne instead. The ticket checker on board... More
