Here's a trick for non-German speakers. Grab a prayer book/hymnal from the rack in the back. Notice the two blank white spots either side of the baroque altar. Suddenly, the LED lights give you a number. It is the page for the prayer or hymn in your book. If you know the outline of church liturgy, you are on the... More

The inside of this iconic church is simply amazing. Definitely go inside!! Stay a while so you can have the place in quiet after the bus loads leave. It's a remarkable piece of art, full of spot for worship.

I only got to spend a few minutes admiring all the statues and gold that adorn this old church since it was Holy Week. It is definitely worth a look as you stroll around Luzern.

With its interesting steeples, you are curious about tge interior. Most would not be prepared for the bright white and pink marble interior. Compared to other European churches, it is a must see!

The history of this church dates back to the 1600s. This church is amazing from the outside as well as the inside. It has a large, twin-towered front as it sits on the left bank of the Reuss River. The inside is quite ornate. The main altar is adorned with some of the earliest stucco marble pieces in Central Switzerland.... More

Sadly, the doors were locked when we tried to enter so we only had our guide's description of this church. A couple people walked back later and got in. They said in was beautiful.

On a rainy Easter Sunday in Lucerne we had the pleasure of stopping into this Jesuit church in the morning just to take in the beauty of the architecture and adornments. We passed by again about 6pm and re-entered. Oh my goodness! There was a live concert with orchestra and opera. Absolutely delightful!

there is not much more to say, it is just beautiful and serene. The organ playing was missing. I could have spend many hours sitting and feel the peace

I went to this church during a visit to Lucerne, it has recently been refurbished. The architecture is impressive with excellent paintings on the ceiling, well worth a visit, (it is near the Chapel Bridge). Recommended.
