It's a nice walk by the lake, although there is no long quay like in Lausanne or Geneva, but Neuchatel is quite small anyway.

I took a boat trip from the port of Neuchatel lasting 1 hour and 20 minutes. The crew were smartly dressed and the ride was smooth. We stopped long enough for the passengers to get off and on. There were even a few with bicycles.

Neuchatel is only half an hour's train journey from Bern. There is a steep descent from the Neuchatel Railway Station to the Lake, but if you don't feel like walking there is a Funicular that takes less than 3 Minutes. We were actually looking for a decent Restaurant to eat near the lakeside, but could not find one, so we... More

This lake is amazingly situated so that from Neuchatel you can see the whole mountain range of the alps in the background (on a good day). It seems to be a very clean lake where you can see the ground in many places. Around the lake you'll find spaces to walk and relax, including public baths.

The boat trip gives you the best view of the town and you can get a good view of the lakeside from the water, The boat is very confortable and the crew helpful.

As the Dreiseenland can be known, The three lakes -Bierlersee, Neuenburgersee (Neuchatel), and Murtensee, are all connected with canals, and very popular in the warmer months. There are many cruise options to cross the lake and visit the other cities and villages nearby. the Jura range lies north above the lakes, and on a clear day, one can see the... More

This is a little bit stange for me to write an evaluation about the place we are living at. But! Bienvenu a Neuchatel! This is a lovely place and I always think that we are very lucky to live in such a picturesqu place where a medieval little town is meeting with the lake which holds the same name. The... More

Neuchâtel, a small town on the lake side, is not very well know outside the country (Switzerland). But its location is outstanding by offering plenty of assets particularly in summer. Strolling along the lake side, watching swans and other birds, with a marvelous view on the Alpes panorama will enhance your day, companions or family. Take a long walk to... More
