Three visits in as many months during our winter holiday in Jungfrau Region. Corrine and her team are professional and courteous, the chef produces a good range of food, (not just rosti (or varieties thereof!), which is very well presented. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

‘A super mountain hut’ This is an extraordinary mountain hut with 1st class facilities. It has been modernized recently and is now run by a very friendly young couple. We had excellent food on our comfortable over-night stop when trekking along the ‘Tour of the Jungfrau Region’. What more can you ask for?

We elected to do the Eiger Trail from the EigerGletscher train stop down to Alpiglen. It was still a tough walk, but at least we weren't fighting gravity. Make sure you get to the area with enough time to get off at most of the stops to explore and view the mountains. Kleine Scheidegg and Eigergletscher stops both warrant some... More

We came down the steep track off the Eiger Trail one afternoon and found a charming restaurant next to the station. There were glorious views down to Grindelwald, the Wetterhorn and, of course, the Eiger was above us. The food and service were excellent. Afterwards we had less than a minute to reach the platform to catch the train down... More

Not an essential hike, but if you've got the time and inclination - it's a good one that affords superb views of the valley. Takes a couple of hours from Grindelwald. Signposting not clear though - have to figure it out - but if you're close to the final descent of the ski run you're on the right track.

Where a lot of the Eiger climbs are started from. There is nothing here really except the railway (request stop) but, if descending from Kleine Scheidegg, this is a lovely pleasant walk back to Grindelwald with lovely views.

This Berghaus is located near the famous Eiger and offers a wonderful sight of the surrounding mountains. You will also have a wonderful overview of Grindelwald. We had a very warm welcome in this Berghaus. The waitress was very friendly and the delicious food was delivered very quickly. Nevertheless, everything was fresh made. This is also a very child-friendly place,... More

You can sledge the Eiger trail from this restaurant/train stop. There is a small outside rum bar at the back of the restaurant in case you need some Dutch courage. If it is clear you have an amazing view of Grindewald and the valley from Alpiglen. We hide the Eiger run several times whilst one evening and it was brilliant... More

We stayed here twice in January 2016. Very friendly and helpful staff, they also know everything about the Eiger mountain and are more than happy to share their knowledge, great kitchen crew. About 3 minutes from train station, it’s the perfect setting for all sorts of activities and the starting point of the toboggan run. Do not miss out on... More

My wife and I and her 77-year-old mother took train () from Grindelwald Grund to Kleine Scheidegg. It was very snowy there (this was actually 19 May 2014). Lots of tourists were going up, and most were going to take the train up to the top of the Jungfrau. But we took the train back down to Alpiglen request stop.... More
