Yes it gets busy in peak periods but if you go outside school holidays it's better. Restaurants are busy but efficient. Once skiers are dispersed the slopes get better. Some great runs down to Grind Grindelwald and Wengen.

This is a nice place if you are looking for skiing. This is also the place where you change train to go to Jungfraujoch. There are nice shops which serve coffee and beer

We didn't ski as snow levels were very low in Dec 16. But this is a nice area to visit. Some good shops, friendly people and awesome views of the Jungfrau, Jungfraujoch, Eiger and more. It is worth the stop.

On the journey to Jungfraujoch, you must get off the train and hop another train at Kleine Scheidegg. Do not rush to hop another train and please enjoy your stay here. Do enjoy a cup of hot coffee and snacks here before you heading to the top. There are more choice here compared to the top. The train departs from... More

At the base at Lauterbrunnen, you can take a 40 mins train to the top to enjoy the view. At the top, you can rent a sledge for 10 CHF to play with the slopes if you like.

You can walk to this point from Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald and save money on the train up to the "Top of Europe" even in winter time. Beautiful place to stop and take in the views below and above.

The vista of Kleine Scheidegg was everywhere. We saw it from Schynigge Platte hike, and it is lovely.

We couldn't stop ourself jump down from the train for this amazing view. There's connecting train once you reach Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch Glacier. We did not board the train immediately as we taking our own sweet time for photo session.
