Absolutely no point in going to Jungfrau if the weather is bad as you'll see nothing but clouds. Fortunately after 4 days of bad weather we were finally able to make the journey with gorgeous weather conditions of blue skies and sunshine. We left reasonably early to avoid crowds and the views from the top were truly spectacular - pristine,... More

Go early - I took the first train up in the morning - you will avoid much of the tourist rush that happens shortly after - and depending on the timing - you can watch the sunrise from the top of the observation platform. Well worth getting out of bed early for.

The train to top of the jungfarouch is very expensive, but very scenic views. Also you get to experience the history of how this track was built. The train moves at a very slow speed at its really steep. You can reach upto lautterbern using your swiss rail pass. But you need a seperate ticket to go to the top... More

My wife and I just returned from a two-week vacation in Lauterbrunnen for a hiking and sightseeing trip in the Berner Oberland. We viewed the three main peaks (Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau) from many perspectives: Kleine Scheidegg, Grindelwald, Wengen, Gimmelwald, Murren, Grutschalp, the hiking trail south of Mannlichen, etc. My favorite viewing spot was at Restaurant-Hotel Grindelwaldblick which is located... The train up to Jungfraujoch is very expensive which is really the only negative point other than the observatory can be quite busy at times. You hike across the path along the glacier towards monchjoch hut (delicious cheesy ham meal here called 'the Monch' it is a MUST) The view in the morning from the hut is stunning. If you... More

Amazing experience though the weather was a let off. It is just so beautiful up on the mountains and just amazing to see how this beautiful rail was built. The ice carvings were amazing and the effects was lovely. The 3D images were outstanding. Really a beautiful experience.
