This is the largest cable car I’ve ever seen. Hold a almost 200. The don’t pack it tight. Access to great ski terrain both on and off piste.

It takes you quite a bit of time from Zermatt station to Rothorn but it is worth it. You will find black, red and blue slopes for all kind skier/snowboarder level and some decent spots for free-riding. Personally, I prefer the Rothorn area way more...More

Great Italian restaurant on top of a mountain. Very friendly and professional waiters, excellent pizza and pasta, to stay longer or just for a quick bite. Kids friendly.

Rothorn is about 3100 meters high, and offers fabulous vistas of the Matterhorn. The best view on offer is undoubtedly at sunrise, which falls on one of the four faces and gradually illuminates the others. It is conveniently accessible from Zermatt by the Zermatt Bergbahnen...More

Only if you ski. Otherwise there is nothing to see or do on Rothorn. The gondola ride was the usual.

If you love mountains like I do, you will love Rothorn as well. As a matter of fact, you would love the Alps for sure.

Like the other major attractions in Zermatt- Gonegrat and Glacier Paradise, Rothorn boasts it's fair share of spectacular vistas and beautiful scenery of the Swiss Alps. In my opinion, the highlight was Stellisee near the Blauherd stop. We were lucky to encounter calm weather and...More

Fortunate to be in Zermatt on Tuesday morning to be able to do go to the Rothorn to watch the sun rise and light up the Matterhorn. The breakfast following the spectacular sunrise was varied and plentiful.
