My husband and I visited Rochers-de-Naye on the cogwheel train which left from the centre of Montreux. Because we were only in Montreux for one day we did not have the luxury of waiting for a completely sunny day. However, there was enough sunshine that we had amazing views of Lake Geneva ( Lac Leman) on our 50 minute train... More

We really enjoyed the journey up to Rochers-de-Naye, and the view when we got to the top. Will go again in the summer when the marmots are awake!

From Montreux, take the MOB train. It is a bucolic train with cremaillère, a system that allow the train to climb up and down the mountain. As higher you go, as beautiful the view becomes. If you are concern with your budget, you can also drive your car up to Glion and take the train there. Or if you are... More

If you are passing by or visiting Montreux and like scenic views then this place is must visit. You just need to feed it "Rochers de naye" in your google map and it will do the rest. This place is about 10 kms mountain drive from chateau de chillon,Montreux. But one word of caution, please drive up the hill only... More

The rack railway takes about 50 minutes to wind its way up the mountain side. The views are amazing from the train if you sit one side going up, then sit on the other going back down to get the different views. Once you get though the cloud it is amazing what mountains you can see. Once at the top... More

We went to visit Father Christmas on the Cog railway and the views along the way were breath taking. We took tons of pictures along the way and near the top we saw snow. Once the train stopped the kids enjoyed playing in the snow and i enjoyed the magnificient views.

Our trip to Rochers de Naye was, by far, my favorite part of our stay in Montreux!! We went in December so our kids could visit Santa in his grotto, but the real treasure was the breath-taking view! We hiked to the very top of the platform station and OMG! It seemed like we were on the top of the... More

After a very nice but uneventful ride (50) minutes, with great views until you reach the clouds (was sunny in Montreux, so we didn't know), we reached the summit. Walked down a very boring corridor to a small room with a Santa. Less festive and decorated than a "Mall" Santa. Nothing much else at the summit and a very long... More

After a 50 minute train ride, with great views until you are up into the clouds (on a cloudy day), you reach the top. And then walk down a boring long hallway until you reach a small room with Santa, less festive than a "mall Santa" display. Anti-climactic and disappointing considering the cost.

We visited on Christmas Eve and the views were breathe taking. Our hotel gave us a discount card so we paid half price for the train ride. Very worth it
