Yes, it's 'simply' a statue..but Freddie Mercury was one of the greatest musicians of our generation. Definitely worth to see as it's centrally located and you can combine it with a nice stroll.

It is a nice walk along Lake Geneva to see Freddie Mercury. There is a little place of swimming near by and some small parks.

Anyone who loves music will love this, Perfect way to remember Freddie in his classic pose. It feels ever minute of every day someone is taking a photo. Long may it overlook the lake. Must see if in the area,

The statue is a must see in Montreux. Just a short pilgrimage type visit is needed. The attraction is that it is brilliantly maintained and permanently being photoed / selfied.

If you fly into Zurich take the train to Montreux. You will probably have change trains in Lausanne. Entire trip 1 way is about 3 hours
