If you go to Zurich you must walk down Bahnhofstrasse. The people are interesting to watch. She shops are amazing and have most everything you would want to look for - some expensive and some reasonably priced. Also try one of the food vendors. There's one that has amazing beef sandwiches. WOW!

This street is full with all the luxurious brands you can think of. The prestige is being felt from the far and it was an amazing experience to see people actually getting out of the stores with huge fancy and high-quality bags filled with the goodies bought from the stores. Stores, that have so many zeros in the price tags... More

If you're into high street and high end brands, then this is the place to go! Bahnhofstrasse also houses the biggest kid's toy store in Zurich, Franz Carl Weber. Though most stores are generally closed on Sundays, we had a pleasant surprise when we visited some of the high end stores, which were open due to the festive season, and... More

Great walk from the station down to the lake. It's an eye opener of the shop prices expense for the poor Brits. In December it's really nice decorated for Christmad.

Yes the street has well known high end brands that have made it to other cities, but its special that the items are Swiss Made and bought in Switzerland. Its more credible and undoubtedly authentic so its less worry about counterfeiting, especially for the watches. I enjoyed walking the street and shopping and seeing the local sights, Christmas market and... More

Bahnhofstrasse is especially decorative in December with small Xmas booths, great lights, eg. Lucie on Bahnhofstrasse, Stars on Loewenplatz or other lights in many side streets. Must visit is the Singing Christmas Tree near Main Station, where each evening children sing Xmas songs on a huge stage, shaped like a Christmas tree. If possible, avoid weekends, being extremely crowded.

Great train station. Easy to get help if needed and to purchase tickets. Well marked directions and tracks. Very clean. Bonus was the great market inside.

Most brands are high end brands. You can get discounts from nearby malls for the same items but not here. But there are many choices compared to what is available in the malls. We were there during the Black Friday but it wasn't Black here.
