I loved all the impressionist & expressionist paintings by the "big" names! A bit hard to navigate the museum. Nice with no admission on Wednesdays. Highly recommended!

What a treat and surprise. No crowds for a spectacular museum. We visited on a Saturday, believing it would be crowded. Was quite empty and allowed us to fully appreciate the collections. Able to just sit and take in the beauty. Collection was vast. Much...More

Quiet, has many important works. We really enjoyed our visit as there were not so many people here as compared to galleries in London or Paris. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Of course not every exhibition is my taste, but they are always very professional and with all the informative tools. Also the pictures and sculptures which are there since a long time, are worth to see.

Despite being under renovation, strolling these galleries is very pleasant with plenty of breathing space. We took advantage of the free Wednesday admission to the regular collection. After a couple of hours we spent our savings on a scrumptious chocolate fondue in the attached restaurant.

Visiting the museum we were limited in time therefore we have observed only old masters and impressionists' collection. IMHO this is wise to visit because of paintings of the most prominent and great masters of Dutch, Italian, French schools. And even one pairing of El...More
