Cool museum outside standard tourist route.

Small, interesting, with many old trams. Worth visit if you like trams or you don’t like so much standard museums.

A collection of tram dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. Unlike many museums one can onto most of the trams and actually see what it was like to travel in earlier days. Examples of ticket machines and the controllers for the tram drivers are here. There are many photographs dating back many years. Even better is the... More

The tram museum is a collection of trams, ticket machines and related items dating back to to the advent of this mode of transportation in Zurich. It is located at the depot that was used until 1997. The museum is great for children, with a hands-on approach to all of the exhibits. For tourist adults (even those who were once... More

Nice small museum with many old beautiful trams. The children, who were there seemed to have a great time. We, a young couple, thought it was quite alright. Before going there on a Sunday, please note, that you can only buy drinks there, so you might want to eat something before you go in. There is a Supermarket next door,... More

This was the favorite excursion for the four year old. He loves trams so to be able to freely roam them was a dream come true. We learned a lot and got to see a huge variety of different looking trams which for me is okay but for him was amazing

Zurich is a city where you would still spot few old and new trams that wade through the streets, Trams have their own charm and that would be multi fold when we visit the Tram Museum. At th Tram Museum we can experience our grandparents’ mobility on the Museum Line along the Bahnhofstrasse and Limmatquai to Burgwies, with rolling stock... More

It is a Zurich tram museum. only for trams in Zurich city and the lines, and how it's began, it's better for train lovers, and good for children. because of the option to enter the trams.

The museum features a collection of the trams which were used in Zurich, a wonderful collection of old pictures of the town and other tram-related objects. The museum is quite small and it is definitely not on the "must do in Zurich" list, so don't expect too much! But I think is a must if you live in Zurich! :)

Okay we have the London Transport Museum in London where you can drive a tube train in a virtual world, but I remember the transport museum in Clapham and it was not so different. This museum has horse drawn trams and trams through history, trams are the lifeblood of Zurich and here you can seen their development and meet people... More
