The boat houses along this part of the canal were of historical value, partly for tourists and minority for genuine local residents. The place was clean and quiet and visitors would like to sit down for their cups of coffee while watching the canal cruise boats passing along. Recommended.

This is a lovely canal to just sit in a cruise boat and see the many beautiful buildings as you slowly glide by. We enjoy it more in the mornings before the canal gets too crowded.

When in the area, if you go to visit Van Loon or Willet-Holthuysen houses-palaces, you can enter to have a look.

This church on the canal is really something special. The architecture inside is preserved well with very high ceilings.

This area of Amsterdam, has about 700 Years of history . It's one of the first canals founded around 1300 . It's a beer area for eating and just taking your time with many hours of walking or biking around . This area represents the true Amsterdam. In all its history.

Another wonderful part of the city, beautiful canals, streets and side cafes with plenty to see and take in and watch the world and people go by. Worth exploring every part of this area and city as it's wonderful and full of history and beautiful architecture.
