Well worth a visit. A charming houseboat that I now want to retire to! The boat is deceptively spacious and a delight to look round. It is beautifully presented, surprisingly light, whilst still being cosy. The owner has gathered lots of interesting information and to get...More

Properly loved this... went with two small sons (9 and 7) who are now determined to live on a houseboat when they're older. It was a lovely, understated find. No queue, not busy, just a happy potter around the boat, peeking into all the rooms...More

The houseboat museum a treat. Shows you life upon a houseboat throughout history. The lady who welcomed us friendly. You can walk through each room and great photo opportunities to take pictures. There is a video at the end to watch which finishes off the...More

Well worth a visit, on a trip to Amsterdam it gave us a fab opportunity to actually see inside a houseboat and to learn the history of the boats and waterways. Deffo one to add to the sightseeing list.

Perhaps only interesting to us as we'd love to actually live the lifestyle, maybe not such a must see for most!

Nice chance to step onto a houseboat and see inside. Visit just takes half an hour but is a pleasant thing to do if you're in the area.

Was walking around in the area and decided to check it out. How cool to get to see the inside of what was a working houseboat and learn about the history of houseboats in Amsterdam. The cost was 5 euros and came with a paper...More

The houseboat museum was one of the highlights of our week in Amsterdam; the owner was very welcoming, the boat was bigger inside than I expected and very informative. We left and went straight to the nearest cafe to sit and discuss whether we could...More

It only takes 15 minutes to wander through this old houseboat. It started out as a barge. Was a houseboat, now is just a museum, nobody lives there. Neat to see

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
