Worst zoo I have been to. There are indeed plenty of animals but no where near enough space for them. It was heartbreaking seeing the MINISCULE space the lions had it actually made me cry. Some animals look depressed and i totally understand. There cannot...More

We could easily have missed the opportunity to experience this zoo. Really well laid out with a diverse collection of wildlife, all of which are well cared for and contained in spectacular enclosures. We just happened by, but once inside we did not want to...More

Came here with friends. Had a great visit with a lot of animals to be seen. We spent a few hours here and that was walking around quite quick too. I would recommend coming here if you like animals

I'm not a big fan of zoos but also want my children to have the experience of seeing many of these animals up close and in person. I would call myself very selective about the zoos we visit. At ARTIS, all the animals looked comfortable,...More

Pretty average zoo.. when we went we weren't that impressed, the may be because we had recently been to Burgers Zoo near Arnhem. If you have a car and an hour hit up Burgers instead of this place.

Did not expect to find this gem in the middle of Amsterdam. Animals well tended, and enclosures spacious. The Zoo is very easily accessible by tram stopping just around the corner.

20.50 euros for those 10+ and 17 euros for those 3-9. 0-2 are free. These are on line prices - worth buying on line to save 1 euro per person and to beat the queue when you get there.
