Nice venue ...We watched the rugby match and had to listen to loud background music instead of match commentary! Asked staff if they could turn down/off music but they refused. Wouldn't recommend this is venue for live sport.

We have frequented this pub on every one of our visits to Amsterdam so much so that the staff have come to recognise us each time. They are very friendly, great table service but on the weekends it can be just too busy due to live sports they show on their televisions. I try to avoid it until the weekenders... More

Visited Amsterdam for a weekend with my wife. Went back to this pub/restaurant 3 times during our stay. Good food, drink and service. Various sports on the TVs inside. Lovely seated outdoor area overlooking Rembrant square complete with overhead heaters and blankets. Price of a pint was roughly £5.50 which was generally the going rate in Amsterdam. Food was reasonably priced... More

Popped in to watch footy. Large screen tv's dotted about. Not a huge selection of Beers, Heineken or Amstel, strongbow & bottles. €5.50 a pint- much the norm in Amsterdam, I thought the Heineken tasted different to the UK version. Good location, old London pub type ambiance, seems you only get charged to use the loo's during peak season, like... More

Plenty seating area, nice comfortable booths , basic pub grub menu (burgers, chicken burgers ) but nice food. Plenty out door seats and well heated with heat lamps sit back and watch the world go by.

This was the pub we all planned to meet up in everyday It was nothing to write home about - just a nice little pub. With 1 difference, you had to pay 50c each time you went to the toilet. And you only find this out once you have gone down the stairs and there was someone sitting on a... More

Food was not good unfortunately. Service was excellent everyone was super nice. Good vibe and crowd. Go to drink, not to eat. My soup was inedible with so much black pepper and no cheese. I ordered a French onion soup so you can imagine how wrong that is. The server was nice but didn't offer any do over on the... More

It is a warm place at the center of Amsterdam. It is not too expansive. I went there several times with the same friends and the place did not change.

This lively bar is in the Rembrandtplein square in Amsterdam . There is a large seating area outside the pub and a nice comfortable one inside. As it was cold, we decided to sit inside on one of their tables with leather armchairs . The pub has an interesting look with a coloured stained glass ceiling and a number of... More

Nice pub but very bad service. Stood at the bar for ages before I was served. I would not recommend it not only on these grounds but for the following - you are there spending your money each time you purchase a drink or purchase food yet, they also charge you 50c each and every time you use the toilet.... This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
