We didn't know that the art of banksy is at the town! When we saw Beurs van Berlage with the comercials we immediately decided to go inside! It is worth it's price. The exhibition is amazing, interesting, unforgettable. We are big fans of Banksy...if you like street art, graffiti, good art... you wont regret this! Been there for 2hours.

Read the reviews before going - people saying how disappointed they were that it wasn't more of a history of him etc etc. It never said it was. Banksy is the "unknown" genius of graffiti art and his perspective on human nature, sociology, politics and war is spot on. As a huge Banksy fan I was not disappointed - just... More

We went to visit the Banksy Exhibit. An unauthorised exhibit with paintings, screen prints and photo's about the work of Banksy. It was a disappointment. The entrance fee was too high for the experience. The exhibit is very sloppy. It doesn't tell you anything in context of the artist. We didn't expect that of the Beurs of Berlage.

My husband and I went to Amsterdam for this exhibit (we live in South Holland), and were both really disappointed and underwhelmed. The price was €19,50 and the whole exhibit took about 45 mins. We read every description and watched some of the short videos and were surprised to see several repeated pieces through the exhibit. Although the art was... More

We just saw the Banksy grafitti exhibit. It was far too expensive, 20 euro for 45 minutes of viewing, at the most. Making money was a contradiction that wasn't missed. Not a big Banksy fan, before nor after. I could have skipped this exhibit altogether. Better things to see here. And so much duplication.

The Banksy exhibition was magnificent. Every little thing about itwas interesting and it fills up easily 2 hours. It is a bit expensive, but it is worth it in my opinion.

We visited Beurs of Berlage for the exhibition of Banksy and we liked this. It takes you approx. 1 hour to walk through the exhibition. Buying tickets on internet beforehand is little cheaper. The exhibition is worth a visit.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
