Great cheese and wine, knowledgeable guide. Worth wasting a couple of hours. Meet folks from many countries.

Old Amsterdam are some of my favourite cheese in the world, so it's a delight to wander around the store and sample. The goat cheese is absolutely wonderful, and the vintage version is also a must-try, if you can get it!

Henry Willig has the monopoly in cheese shops in Amsterdam under a variety of guises and names. So, the same cheese in different packaging, mass produced for tourists. Go find an independent producer !

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring

Thanks for choosing our farmer cheese. We have no expiry date on the cheese since the cheese will mature when placed at room temperature. It depends on the conditions but an estimate for expiry date is about 6 months... More
