The actors was good but we were expecting it to be more scary. Felt like a waist of time. The younger crowd seemed to enjoy it. I'm 67 years and it was not for me.

Visited there with my boyfriend, it was quite alright, sometimes scary sometimes not at all. Some of the actors were fairly bored of their job, but overall they all did good. A downer was definitely the long waiting time till the tour began (ca. 20 min) in a very warm tiny "prison" room.. We would've appreciated if the staff on... More

We bought combined ticket to Madam Tussauds and the Amsterdam Dungeons in Madam Tussauds . After visiting both we all agree that if we had to choose one of them we would choose the Dungeons for sure. Excellent show.

Quite an expensive attraction in the centre of Amsterdam and bit of a queue to get in. You are taken through various rooms and scenarios, mainly in dim light, often with spells of complete darkness, that are guaranteed to give you a fright. Not suitable for persons of a nervous disposition or who don't like dim or flashing lights. Various... More

This is an attraction with actors performing and interacting with public. I didn't think the place and the story were "that" good, but the actors deserve the merit.

I feel like to really enjoy this place, you have to suspend some of your disbelief and allow yourself to just have fun! If you go in expecting to be truly frightened then you're going to be disappointed. Honestly, I don't think you can be truly scared in a fake show when you go in KNOWING that it's going to... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
