Awesome market. The market had fresh produce and flea market items. I found a lady that sold homemade jewelry. I also purchased a bag made out of an old Russian tent. The market also has food stands that are cheap and delicious.

On this triangular area on the south side of Nooderkerk Protestant church (17th century) Saturday is the Farmers Market (9am-4pm) in Nov., other days operate as a flea market. However the main event is just 2 streets over to the north on Lindengracht street where there must be over 100 stalls lining up several blocks. Stalls closer to each other... More

This market is great with eclectic stalls and amazing produce!! Had a fresh brewed coffee which was amazing along with a cannoli. Amazing oysters, fruit, cakes and pastries, cheese and antiques!! If you walk on a bit further from here there is an excellent stretch of more 'local' market. MUST VISIT!!!

I went there on a Saturday morning. It is a typical market selling different things-from vegetables and food to curtains and hand made stuff. You can go there and just have a quick walk through it, grab something to try or visit one of the restaurants nearby serving the popular apple schtrudel.

We visited the Noordermarkt on a Monday. It had a variety of items from produce to furniture to fabrics and old clothing. We purchased some beautiful old post cards as souvenirs. It's a nice way to wile away a morning!

This is my go-to market for anything fresh. local and organic. Freshest mushrooms, wild and farmed and amazing. Organic bread products galore. Fresh truffle raviolis and tons of organic and raw milk cheeses are the best and no, it is not dangerous to eat once cultivated. I also get my organic and rawmilk butter from there. If you have not... More

This is a small, local market with a good range of food kiosks and market fruits/vegetables, along with the ever changing array of flea market vendors. As mentioned, it's small, so you can meander through in an hour or so depending on your interests.

This is a small but very nice outdoor market held on Saturdays just outside Noorderkerk. Noodermarkt is open from 9am to 5pm during October but likely closes earlier during the colder winter months. Best to check their websites for upcoming weekend market hours. There are probably 30+ stalls set up in this small public space outside the church. You can... More

We enjoyed this market tremendously. It's only open on Saturdays and we just happened to stay nearby without any plans for Saturday, so... What a great market! There is a little bit of everything, everything from an impressive assortment of mushrooms to old nautical instruments... Really worth spending a couple of hours if your in town on a Saturday!

Noordermarkt was my favorite of the several Amsterdam markets we visited. While it doesn't compare to those in other cities like London, it was a fun way to spend a couple hours on a sunny Saturday. The food and beverage options were ok (not great, but good) but there were some fun and interesting goods to buy.

Thank Kimberly K

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
