A friend recommended to visit this place and the city itself. We drove all the way from Amsterdam and it was relaxing and soothing. time well spend. weather was awesome and enjoyed the trip.

A lot of work went into this museum which is composed of a building with nice exhibits, a submarine, an old wooden ship and 2 more modern ones. Also a command deck. A fitting tribute to the Dutch marine tradition. Fun for the kids too....More

Very nice museum. The history of Dutch Navy seen from a technical point of view. A lot of interactivity for children. Great the visit inside the submarine.

Very beautiful and cute museum. You can spend there 3 hours enjoying through navies, submarines and others. Assets are well maintained.

Den Helder is 1 hour and 15 minutes from Amsterdam by train. The trains during the day goes there every 30 minutes. The museum includes 2 ships one submarinne and exhibition about docks history in Den Helder and Dutch navy.

We love finding these treasures! This museum is so well done, you won't want to miss any of it. I wasn't sure I could get my husband off the interactive features. They were so real.
