Interesting museum. My wife loved the leather wallpaper in one of the rooms. The art work was good but not on the caliber of some of the Amsterdam museums. I highly recommend that the reader get a museum pass if they intend to see more...More

This museum features a number of paintings by Hals, but also by many other painters. Tempory exhibitions tend to be very attractive, so do regularly check their website.

Loved the movie that explained the significance of Hals. Some lovely works by him here. Other painting and items were also very interesting and fantastic explanations posted that put them in historical context. Half he museum was closed but still had a first rate experience
