We stayed in accomodation in this part of Haarlem and it was a very good choice. From an evening entertainment perspective this is where it happens. Very friendly as one would expect in Holland

The Grote Markt in Haarlem is the center of the city, and it's also the heart of Haarlem. The square is situated around the church and has all sorts of little nice cafe's around it.

An interesting, and similar to other town markets that I experienced in the Netherlands. It's definitely worth wandering through, surrounded by restaurants, Grote Kerk (church), the Town Hall, and retail shops.

One of our activities was the goos board game through Haarlem using an old map and several questions up and arround this part of town. So we looked at it with extra attention and the game gave us extra information about the statues and buildings

The big market square is surrounded by pedestrian streets leading in and out. A beautiful cathedral. Cafes, shops and an excellent Saturday market. Relaxing, pleasant atmosphere.

Beautiful spot, always clean and safe. Nice restaurants, and shops. Always full with families and some days there's open markets, lovely sight.
