And you will have reached the top platform of the leaning tower of the "new" church of Delft, and that is a must do if you're reasonably fit. It is admittedly a tight squeeze when encountering people going the opposite way to you, but just...More

We climbed a lot of stairs to get a splendid view from the top of the tower. You can access to different levels on the balcony or the huge clockwork for the bell. Tips: 1. They close the tower at 17:30; 2. Steps are narrow,...More

This is the centerpiece of town on the one side of the large town square. Beautiful architecture and imposing spire. We wanted to see the inside but was closed during our short stay in this must visit city.

Spire of Nieuwe Kerk rises high over the surrounding area. Landmark site in Delft. Did not feel the need to pay an admission charge to go instead, but could get a good feel for it from outside.

This is an all dominating church of the centre of Delft. The architecture, the scale of the building & the stained glass windows are all impressive features. But the history of Holland is also very much on show, centred on the mausoleum of William of...More
