This was a bit out of the way and too far to walk to town after our tour. The tour was great. It explains the difference between the real deal and the junk in the tourist shops. It shows the process. The day we were...More

Besides its technical university, Delft is famous for its hand crafted pottery. It's a beautiful town with walkways next to canals and small bridges. An experience of its kind you can enjoy. Visiting pottery factory was a good experience for kids. Though the handcrafted items...More

Thank you for your review. As you have seen, it is a very labour intensive product to paint all the detailed designs by hand. That causes the price difference with items in souvenirshops which are in general made by transfer. We are happy the kids...More

Thos was one of the halts provided by the tour operator. They show a demo of how the amsterdam pottery and painting is done. Frankly quite expensive from the sovernir shops as it is original but who cares until until and unless you are a...More

Thank you for your review. During the tour we try to make clear the fifference between handpainted Delft as we make and the massproduced Delft as most souvenirshops sell. Due to the handwork are prices are higher. We are happy you liked our place and...More

The Delt pottery is known through Europe for it's quality. This is a free visit in different languages (French, English, German at least) explaining how the pottery is done. Nothing fancy here, but since it's free there is no reason not to come getting enlightened...More

We booked a tour from Amsterdam and took a bus to this area. The pottery studio was interesting. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative about the specifics regarding Delft Pottery. We were able to see artists at work. And, of course, a stop in...More

Not so easy to find, about 15 minute walk from the market, but a small nice pottery and in my opinion more interesting than its large sister at the other side of town. Beautiful items, good excursion, reasonable prices

Short tour including the pottery studio was nice to see. I'm not that interested in pottery per se, but it was included in the tour. Many people seemed genuinely interested in the designs, and there were lots of interesting options for gifts.

The wife collects Blue Delft so was in her element visiting the factory. Did a very interesting tour and saw them making the products. Highly recommend a visit but watch your wallet, so many nice products there to buy.

From our pottery to the market square is about a 25 minutes walk. You can also take a tram (6 minutes walking form our pottery) and choose a tramstop near the centre/ From there it as about a 10 minutes walk to the centre.
