On my way to visit the Molen de Roos, I came across this church located next to private residences. It has some signages at the front so I knew it was the old catholic church. I did not see its inside, was closed during my...More

Even though The Netherlands are known to be liberal for quite some time - there have been ages where all religions other than the protestant had to hide themselves. This church is an example of it - on the outside barely visible as church, but...More

This church is fascinating due to its history. We found Vermeer's tombstone inside and admired the leaning spires. There was also a small photography exhibit when we visited.

Nice little church. The story that it was once forbidden, gives it that little extra. The exterior is now very clearly church like, not hiding anything now.

My comments for this church is the same as my comments for the New Church. Very interesting and conveniently close to the New Church.

A nice old Catholic church in the Bagijnhof. Fairly small and unobtrusive from the exterior. I was not able to visit inside so can't speak for that.
